As part of the war to end all wars exhibit poppies have been hung in the rotunda to reign down in the hope of peace.
Members and Friends of St Anne’s have knitted over 200 poppies which will form part of an to commemorate the end of WWI, a conflict which was supposed to be the ‘War to End All Wars’ – but sadly was not! Exhibition will be open from the 28th October.
A Huge Thank you to Lee, Liz T, Liz M, Helen, Caroline, Jane, Simon and Rhona for all their help with the garden on 6th Oct and for persevering even in the rain! The garden looks great and it was great motivation to have so many people helping.
We had a wonderful Sunny Autumn morning to celebrate Harvest Festival. All produce and goods are off to Laurence’s Larder later in the week. Thanks to all who contributed to our beautiful display – as well as thank you boxes!
Thanks to everyone who helped at Queen’s Park Day on Sunday 16th. We have a fabulous afternoon with lots of good conversations. We also sold lots of books, baking, toys and a huge range of bri-a-brac; thanks to all who contributed!
